Bitfarms Ltd (TSXV: BITF) is the latest Canadian venture to be approved for listing on the US big boards. The company this morning announced that it has been approved to list on the Nasdaq, where it is to trade under the ticker symbol “BITF”.
A firm date for the first day of trading was not provided. The company is expected to trade on the Nasdaq Global Market tier, which is reserved for firms that meet certain liquidity and requirements above the basic requirements for a Nasdaq Capital Market listing. The company is expected to be the first bitcoin miner to trade on this tier.
The company is expected to maintain its listing on the TSX Venture, while being dual listed on the US big board. A final date for trading to begin on the Nasdaq is to be provided at a later date.
Bitfarms last traded at $6.18 on the TSX Venture.
