Discovery Silver Corp. (TSXV: DSV) announced today the results of drilling at its Cordero silver project in Chihuahua State, Mexico. The highlights of the 13-diamond drill hole results include intersecting 165 g/t silver equivalent over 128.2 metres.

The drill holes reported are part of a Phase 1 drill program slated to be completed by the end of the month. This also comes a month after Discovery Silver released drill results from another 14 holes at Cordero that saw an intercept of 2,290 g/t silver equivalent over 1.3 metres.

Highlight intercepts from the 13-drill hole program include:

  • C20-405: 165 g/t silver equivalent (65 g/t Ag, 0.05 g/t Au, 1.2% Pb and 1.3% Zn) over 128.2 metres
  • C21-414: 110 g/t silver equivalent (37 g/t Ag, 0.04 g/t Au, 0.8% Pb and 1.0% Zn) over 110.0 metres

As the company prepares to end its 70,100 metre Phase 1 drill program at the Cordero project, it says Phase 2 will be focused on upgrading inferred resources for prefeasibility study at Cordero, expanding its bulk-tonnage mineralization, and testing extensive high-grade vein systems that transect the deposit. A revised resource estimate and PEA are slated to be released in the second half of the year.
