DMG Blockchain Solutions Inc. (TSX-V: DMGI) announced today the purchase of additional 1,800 bitcoin ASIC miners for an undisclosed amount. This follows just days after the company announced the purchase of 3,600 bitcoin miners.
The new purchase is expected to add 180 PH/s of computing capacity, pushing DMG Blockchain’s hashrate to over 680 PH/s. Delivery of these miners is expected to begin in August 2021 and will continue for 12 months – the same timeline for deliveries of the previously announced 3,600 bitcoin miners purchase.
The company says that this acquisition is part and parcel of DMG Blockchain’s strategy of “increasing the procurement of newest generation equipment”. The additional miners, along with the investment in Blockseer platforms, are reportedly part of the company’s aim to continue its vertical integration.
DMG Blockchain Solutions Inc. last traded at $1.41 on the TSX Venture.
