Draganfly Creates Customized Payloads for University of Saskatchewan Agriculture Research Team

Draganfly Inc (CSE: DFLY) has successfully created customized payloads that are retrofitted onto drones and will be used for agricultural research by the University of Saskatchewan Plant Science team.

The University of Saskatchewan research team faced several obstacles when it came to gathering data related to crop research; however, Draganfly was able to address those concerns by creating a custom-build payload that could achieve the necessary data requirements. The company designed a drone retrofitted with a payload that not only is able to maneuver a strategic flight path dependent on camera resolution, but also increase the collection of quality data.

These new payloads come equipped with a terabyte of multispectral, hyperspectral, and high resolution color imagery. This new system has had an impact on operating costs by decreasing the amount of flights necessary to gather data, as well as increasing the data collection by over 20 times.

Draganfly Inc is a manufacturing company focusing on developing unmanned vehicle systems (UVS) for commercial use, and is currently trading at $1.01 on the CSE.
