Emerita Resources Expands La Romanera Deposit To 450 Metres Deep

The latest drill results were released this morning by Emerita Resources (TSXV: EMO) for their Iberian Belt West project, where ten drill rigs continue to test known deposits on the property. The latest results come exclusively from the La Romanera deposit, which has become the main focus of the current exploration program.

A total of three holes saw their assays released this morning. Highlights from the results include:

  • LR012: 0.3% copper, 1.4% lead, 1.7% zinc, 2.31 g/t gold and 96.8 g/t silver over 16.6 metres, and 0.3% copper, 0.1% lead, 0.1% zinc, 1.66 g/t gold and 65.0 g/t silver over 6.5 metres
  • LR014: 0.3% copper, 1.3% lead, 6.6% zinc, 0.13 g/t gold and 61.1 g/t silver over 15.1 metres, and 0.3% copper, 2.1% lead, 10.1% zinc, 0.68 g/t gold and 98.4 g/t silver over 6.1 metres
  • LR017: 0.3% copper, 3.5% lead, 8.3% zinc, 0.13 g/t gold and 27.5 g/t silver over 2.2 metres, and 6.4% copper, 0.2% lead, 1.0% zinc, 0.06 g/t gold and 18.7 g/t silver over 1.8 metres

The most significant aspect of the results released this morning come from hole LR014, which intersected the upper and lower massive sulphide lenses at a depth of 450 vertical meters. The intercept is the deepest to date made by any operator on the property, and proves that the deposit continues to have room for expansion.
