Filo Mining Hits 0.70% Copper Equivalent Over An Eye-Popping 1,776 Metres

Filo Mining (TSX: FIL) continues to post eye-popping intercepts at its Filo del Sol Project, which is found in San Juan, Argentina. The firm last night released assays after the bell last night, with one intercept extending for over a kilometre and a half.

“An almost 1.8km intersection in hole 68A sets a new record at Filo del Sol for the longest interval to date. Even at those depths, we intersected discrete high-grade sections and will learn from this result as we target future drilling,” commented CEO Jamie Beck.

Drill data on two separate holes were released by the firm, with both holes targeting the Aurora Zone. The holes were collared 275 metres apart, with one setting a new record for longest interval to date at the project. Highlights from the results include:

  • FSDH068A: 1,776.0 metres of 0.70% copper equivalent (0.45% copper, 0.30 g/t gold, and 4.0 g/t silver) from a depth of 18.0 metres
    • Including 1,120.0 metres of 0.92% copper equivalent (0.59% copper, 0.38 g/t gold, and 5.3 g/t silver) from 394 metres
    • Including 724.2 metres of 1.08% copper equivalent (0.69% copper, 0.45 g/t gold, and 6.8 g/t silver) from 574 metres
  • FSDH069A: 1,296.5 metres of 1.00% copper equivalent (0.60% copper, 0.38 g/t gold, and 13.9 g/t silver) from a depth of 138.0 metres
    • Including 598.0 metres of 1.51% copper equivalent (0.92% copper, 0.57 g/t gold, and 19.3 g/t silver) from 498.0 metres
    • Including 94.0 metres of 3.01% copper equivalent (1.78% copper, 1.37 g/t gold, and 26.3 g/t silver) from 792.0 metres

The results are said to confirm a 170 metre extension to the north at the Breccia 41 Zone. Two holes are said to be underway currently that are focused on extending this zone further. The company has indicated that further drilling will focus on both large and small step-outs to the north and south of the Aurora Zone, with resource definition drilling occurring as well.
