Freegold Hits 4.26 g/t Gold Over 73.1 Metres At Golden Summit

Freegold Ventures (TSX: FVL) released this morning the latest data from an ongoing drill program at its Golden Summit Project, near to Fairbanks, Alaska. A total of six drill holes totaling 3,925 metres in aggregate were released this morning.

The drill program presently is focused on expanding, upgrading, and increasing the resource grade of the deposit at the project. Holes released this morning consisted of two holes focused on the Dolphin Zone of the Tolovana Area, while four holes were focused on the Cleary East zone, which is targeting the Cleary Hill Vein.

Highlights from the results include:

  • Dolphin
    • GS2136: 1.85 g/t gold over 70.1 metres (from 465.4 metres), including 2.88 g/t gold over 39.6 metres (from 495.9 metres)
    • GS2221: 1.36 g/t gold over 420.7 metres (from 294.7 metres), including 4.26 g/t gold over 73.1 metres (from 569.1 metres)
  • Cleary East
    • GS2146: 0.66 g/t gold over 74.4 metres (from 577.6 metres)
    • GS2154: 1.14 g/t gold over 30.5 metres (from 322.6 metres), 25.90 g/t gold over 3.1 metres (from 598.6 metres)

Drilling is said to be ongoing at the targets with four rigs. Drilling at the targets since 2020 has demonstrated “significant widths of great than 2 g/t gold within the interpreted Cleary Vein Swarm,” with broad zones of over 1 g/t gold mineralization over long widths reported in the two areas.

Freegold Ventures last traded at $0.425 on the TSX.
