Freegold Intersects 1.22 g/t Gold Over 231 Metres

Freegold Ventures (TSX: FVL) has released further assay results. The results come from its currently ongoing 40,000 metre drill program being conducted at its Golden Summit project in Alaska.

The company released a total of three drill holes this morning, highlighting that the firm intends to update its current resource estimate next year once all assays from the current program are received. The update is slated to include drilling from programs conducted in both 2017 and 2020, as well as the current program.

Highlights from the results released this afternoon include:

  • GS2107: 1.22 g/t gold over 231.3 metres, 0.65 g/t gold over 7.4 metres
  • GS2111: 0.97 g/t gold over 106.7 metres, 1.39 g/t gold over 18.2 metres
  • GS2127: 1.9 g/t gold over 24.6 metres, 0.74 g/t gold over 99.6 metres

The current program has seen 32,000 metres drill to date across 59 holes. Drilling has been focused on determining the extent of mineralization at the property, in addition to expanding and upgrading the current resource estimate. The results of the current program are expected to be utilized for a planed pre-feasibility study on the property.

Freegold Ventures last traded at $0.39 on the TSX.
