Freegold Intersects 1.22 g/t Gold Over 559.9 Metres

Freegold Ventures (TSX: FVL) this morning released further drill results from its 2021 drill program conducted at the Golden Summit Project, which is found near to Fairbanks, Alaska. A total of six drill holes, covering just under 3,600 metres of drilling, were released this morning by the company.

Highlights from the program include:

  • GS2119: 0.63 g/t gold over 344.4 metres, including 1.45 g/t gold over 33.6 metres
  • GS2134: 0.85 g/t gold over 71.9 metres
  • GS2152: 0.58 g/t gold over 421.3 metres, including 1.24 g/t gold over 42.6 metres
  • GS2165: 1.22 g/t gold over 559.9 metres, including 1.36 g/t gold over 408.5 metres, 3.47 g/t gold over 85.3 metres

The results come from a program that is currently ongoing, with drilling focused on expanding the current grade and size of the resource at the project. Final results from the 2021 program are expected in the near term, while four drill rigs are currently on site conducting this years planned program.

The two strongest results released this morning come from the Dolphin Zone, which is referred to as a muliphase intrusive complex. Mineralization within the zone is said to extend to depths over 1,000 metres based on current drill data, over a space 1.5 kilometres in length. Given the results from hole GS2165, further holes are being planned to follow up on the results due to the grade consistency throughout the hole.

Freegold Ventures last traded at $0.35 on the TSX.
