Freeland, Ford Allegedly Don’t Want Disgraced Toronto Mayor John Tory to Resign
John Tory, the disgraced mayor of Toronto who last week abruptly announced he’s abdicating his position after news broke that he had a months-long affair with a 31 year-old former staffer, is now supposedly being urged to remain in office by none other than deputy prime minister Chrystia Freeland, Ontario premier Doug Ford, and the Toronto police union.

Sounds absurd, doesn’t it? Perhaps sleeping with subordinates while serving as city mayor isn’t a big deal after all— but we will wait for Freeland herself to give a take on the matter in the morning.
