Freeman Gold Intersects 2.5 G/T Gold Over 151 Metres At Lemhi

Freeman Gold (CSE: FMAN) this morning released the latest results from its drill program at its flagship Lemhi Gold Project in Idaho. Within, the company reported a highlight result of what is effectively the highest grade intercept ever drilled at the property – 2.5 g/t gold over 151 metres, which includes 25 g/t gold over 8.7 meters, in hole FG20-017C.

The assay results released this morning come from the remaining 20 diamond drill holes of the 35 hole program conducted last year by the company. The program was focused on confirming historically mineralization, enabling the company to use over 355 historical drill holes within its maiden resource estimate, with the program consisting of infill and step-out drilling.

The program as a result successfully confirmed historical mineralization, while providing the data required to increase confidence in the oncoming resource estimate.

A number of highlight results were identified by the company, including:

  • FG20-017C: 2.5 g/t gold over 151m, including 25 g/t gold over 8.7m
  • FG20-012C: 1.2 g/t gold over 42.6m
  • FG20-026C: 0.9 g/t gold over 72.4m, including 2.1 g/t gold over 21.1m
  • FG20-032C: 1.4 g/t gold over 48.4m, including 2.1 g/t gold over 22m

“The 2020 diamond drill program at Lemhi not only confirmed the vast and comprehensive historical database, but also added confidence. This gives us an excellent basis upon which to complete our maiden compliant resource estimate, with the joint objective of maximizing the resource count, increasing the resource confidence categories, and identifying areas for future growth. Our team is working on the interpretation and modelling and we will have further updates as these results come in.”

Will Randall, CEO & President of Freeman Gold
