Gold, Oil Jump Following Uncertainty In Middle East

The price of gold and oil has rallied this morning off the back of continued uncertainty in the Middle East.

The rally follows the launch of long range rockets by Hamas into the territory of Israel, while the terrorist group calls on Friday to be a “Day of Jihad.” Israel meanwhile is expected to imminently launch a ground attack in Gaza following the events that have unfolded over the course of the last week.

Gold has rallied by over 2%, hitting a high of $1.919 this morning, while currently trading in the $1,912 range following the unfolding events.

Followers of the gold markets however are not yet convinced that it will be sticky, while still waiting for its big climb.

Not to be outdone, silver has also jumped off the geopolitical uncertainty, climbing 3.5% to over $22.60.

Oil has also climbed this morning, hitting a high of $86.87, a jump of over 4%.
