HIVE Blockchain Technologies Ltd. (TSXV: HIVE) announced today that it will start trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market under a new ticker symbol. Starting September 14, 2021, the digital will now trade under ‘HIVE’, changing from ‘HVBT’.
“I am thrilled that we will make it much easier for Hive Blockchain technology investors and traders in both Canada and the US to have only one ticker,” said HIVE Blockchain Executive Chairman Frank Holmes. The company also trades on the TSX Venture under the symbol ‘HIVE’.
The crypto firm also announced that its capacity expansion is underway. It expects to deploy additional 20MW of bitcoin mining before the end of the year and another 20MW during first quarter of 2022. The company expects this will add around 900 PH/s in the overall hashrate.
Days before, the blockchain company announced that it ordered a total of 3,000 Bitcoin mining machines to be delivered throughout 2022. This is expected to add a total hashrate of 294 PH/s.
HIVE Blockchain Technologies last traded at $3.80 on the TSX Venture.
