There’s good earnings, there’s bad earnings, and then.. There’s whatever i-80 Gold (TSX: IAU) reported for its fourth quarter financial results.
Funnily enough, that was our immediate impression on i-80’s third quarter earnings as well, which we discovered after we went back to cross compare notes. But the sentiment remains the same.
Because, quite frankly, the results are a mess. Despite the current gold environment, this is a company that is burning cash nearly as quickly as it comes in, and well, it kind of feels like there’s a mad scramble to keep all their balls in the air through any means possible right now.
They say they’ve got a plan to see things through to the other side, but we’re not as of yet entirely convinced.
