Drilling has begun for Power Nickel (TSXV: PNPN) under its fall drill program at its flagship Nisk project, found in Quebec.

The drill program has begun with deep target hole PN-23-036, which is located east of hole PN-23-35, which intersected 31.9 metres of 0.98% nickel equivalent, as well as east of hole PN-22-009, which intersected 40.3 metres of 1.49% nickel equivalent. Drilling is set to begin 300 metres to the east and 300 metres to the south of the latter hole.

Power Nickel currently expects to intersect mineralization at a depth of 390 metres as it looks to better understand the depth of the Nisk deposit.

The drill program as a whole is intended to test several electromagnetic targets hosted within the ultramafic body, with the company also using data from an ambient noise tomography survey to reinforce drill targets. Downhole electromagnetics will also be conducted to further add to the data collected.
