Premier Health Strengthens Board of Directors
Premier Health Group Inc (CSE: PHGI) strengthened its Board of Directors this morning with the appointment of Dr. Amit Mathur. Dr Mathur is the co-founder and former Chief Operating Officer of recently acquired Livecare Health Canada.
Mathur brings a wealth of experience to the Premier Health team, having served over twenty years as an optometrist and entrepreneur within the healthcare industry. With past experience in primarily private firms, including co-founding a multi-location optometrist practice and serving on boards of numerous boards of directors, Mathur is well versed in the field. Previously, Mathur has also acted as a partner at a boutique Vancouver-based firm, for which he was focused on the healthcare industry.
Originating from Northern British Columbia, Mathur’s personal experiences lead to a passion in the field of healthcare, with a focus on rural healthcare and Indigenous health. This in turn lead to the co-founding of Livecare, which specializes in providing telemedicine for rural and remote communities, which otherwise would have limited access to quality healthcare.
We are pleased to have Dr. Mathur join our board of directors. Dr. Mathur is an accomplished healthcare innovator and his vast experience in digital health coupled with his strong entrepreneurial spirit will be an invaluable asset at this stage of the Company’s growth.
