SKRR Exploration Details 2020 Work Program At Saskatchewan Leland Property

This morning, SKRR Exploration Inc (TSXV: SKRR) announced that it will be conducting a 2020 work program at its Leland property in Northern Saskatchewan. The property is located 20 kilometres south of SSR Mining’s Seabee Gold Operation.

The 2020 work program is to consist of detailed prospecting and mapping, infill geochemical sampling, channel sampling of trenches and ground truthing of EM anomalies that were generated via a drone survey conducted last year. A trail will also be developed to improve access to the area from the mining camp.

The property itself was recently acquired from Taiga Gold, with the company having an option agreement in place to earn up to a 75% interest in the property. Previous work on the property conducted by Taiga has found gold mineralization grading up to 5.4 grams per tonne over 0.65 metres within 2.1 g/t over 3.22 metres within the Irving trench along the Simon-Irving trend. Additional mineralization includes 5 new occurences ranging from 113 ppb gold to 3.5 g/t gold.

Historic work on the property has found notable grades, which include the Leland Lake South Zone. here, grab samples had results ranging from trace values to that of 32.8 g/t gold and 8.6 g/t gold. The Simon/Irving Lake Zone comparatively had values returned of up to 60 g/t gold and 53 g/t gold within a 2 kilometre by 600 metre shear zone. Mineralization on the property is similar to gold deposits in the region such as the Seabee Gold Operation by SSR Mining. Further, the geology is stated to be under explored for 30 kilometres of strike length within current boundaries of the property.

"With the inclusion of Leland, SKRR now has amassed a coveted and dominant land position covering more than 23,500 hectares with numerous highly prospective targets and trends. We are excited and proud to be working along side with Taiga Gold Corp. to explore and develop this under-explored area. Irving Lake has many of the key geological ingredients required for hosting large high-grade gold deposits such as Seabee and Santoy: favorable geology, large scale structural shear zones, localized flexures and faults and numerous mineralized showings. We are in the early stages of a committed and systematic approach to exploring this premier area, located in the heart of the Trans Hudson Corridor."
Ross McElroy, Chairman SKRR Exploration

SKRR Exploration last traded at $0.31 on the TSX Venture.
