SNC-Lavalin Secures US$28 Million Contract With North Texas Tollway Authority

SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. (TSX: SNC) has been awarded a four-year contract to provide maintenance management consultant (MMC) services for the North Texas Tollway Authority. The company reports the contract is worth US$28 million.

Under the contract, the project management firm will be tasked to establish processes that will help the tollway authority manage the maintenance of assets. Services will include making recommendations the reduce life-cycle costs to improve return on investment and the development of management systems for the roadways and related facilities.

“We strive to improve the way maintenance is executed by ensuring operational excellence and providing clients with the tools and technology to make the best decisions regarding [the] management of their assets,” said SNC-Lavalin CEO Ian Edwards.

The company will serve the contract in its capacity as an extension of the tollway authority’s maintenance and project delivery department.

The tollway agency manages the toll system and transportation infrastructure for six counties in North Texas.

SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. last traded at $32.92 on the TSX.
