Swarmio Media Holdings Inc. (CSE: SWRM) has launched a month-long promotional campaign in the UAE with the 18th largest mobile carrier in the world, etisalat by e&. The promotion will run during Ramadan and will include prominent influencers as well as host exclusive esports tournaments and events for popular games such as Valorant, PUBG MOBILE, and FIFA.
Arena Esports, the platform offered by etisalat by e& and Swarmio, was introduced in November 2022 and is now featuring several new in-game digital currencies. The campaign is also expected to see several new titles launched on the platform. Revenues generated within Arena Esports are shared between the two companies.
Swarmio CEO Vijai Karthigesu expressed his enthusiasm for the campaign, highlighting its potential to encourage more gamers to engage with the Ember platform and improve key metrics, such as revenue and margin growth.
Karthigesu said in the company news release, “Swarmio is on a growth mission during which time we intend to encourage more gamers to engage with the Ember platform, which will ultimately drive fundamental metrics including revenue growth and margin growth. Our partner etisalat by e& is similarly focused on increasing customer engagement and retention by offering gamers a unique portal in which they can play games, gain access to exclusive events and tournaments, interact with gamers and influencers in their community, and purchase unique in-game digital items and content.”
Etisalat by e& will cover the costs associated with the campaign, with revenues generated within Arena Esports being shared between the two companies.
