Taylor Swift Becomes First To Sweep Top 10 Of The Billboard Hot 100
Taylor Swift on Monday became the first in Billboard Hot 100 history to sweep all top 10 spots. The singer’s new studio album, “Midnights” was released on October 21.
“Midnights,” the singer’s 10th album, was released as a standard 13-track record, with a deluxe version that featured seven bonus tracks. Billboard also reports that Swift is now tied with Barbra Streisand for the female artist with the most No 1 albums.
Swift also broke two other records on Spotify on the day of the release of the new album: “Midnights” is the most-streamed record in a single day, while Swift holds the record for the most-streamed musician in a single day.
The album also holds the biggest first week of sales of any album this year, beating former record-holder Harry Styles’ “Harry’s House” by almost double. It’s also the album with the most first-week streams this year at 72.5 million.
Drake formerly held the Hot 100 record, claiming nine of the top 10 spots with tracks from his 2021 album “Certified Lover Boy.”
