Torex Gold (TSX: TXG) is the latest producer to see a management shakeup, with the company this morning announcing that CEO Jody Kuzenko will be retiring in June. Her retirement is set to go into effect following the annual shareholders meeting, which is scheduled for June 17.
Kuzenko has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Torex since 2020, with the appointment following her serving in the role of COO in 2018.
Taking on the role of President and CEO post Kuzenko’s retirement is that of Andrew Snowden, who has served in the role of CFO for Torex since 2021. Snowden is also expected to stand for election as a member of the board of directors in connection with his appointment.
“After eight years with Torex and a career that has spanned almost 30 years, my mandate as CEO has been delivered and I have every confidence in Andrew to lead the Company through the next chapter of growth and success,” commented Kuzenko on her retirement.
Torex Gold last traded at $67.68 on the TSX.
