Aya Gold & Silver Drills 6,437 g/t Silver Over 6.5 Meters

Aya Gold & Silver Inc. (TSX: AYA) today released assay results from the company’s 2021 drill exploration program at its flagship Zgrounder Silver Mine, highlighting an intercept of 6,437 g/t silver over 6.5 meters. The intercept reportedly is the second-highest drill result ever reported by the company.

A total of three holes were released this morning as part of the ongoing drill program being conducted at the property. The highlight result extended known strike by 75 metres to the east, with a program scheduled to follow up on the result, given that it represents a new high grade zone. The other two results reportedly intersected silver 30 metres below the last level of the operating mine, with an additional zone at 82 metres intersected.

Results released by the company include:

  • ZG-21-15 intersected 6,437 g/t silver over 6.5 meters
  • ZG-SF-21-04 intersected 1,344 g/t silver over 5 meters
  • T28-21-1975-120 intersected 1,599 g/t silver over 8.4 meters

Over 22,000 of the 41,000 meters scheduled for drilling in 2021 have been drilled at the Zgounder property, of which 13,000 meters are on surface. Eight diamond drilling rigs, 3 underground and 5 at surface, are currently operational at the Zgounder property.
