Chuck E. Cheese Unveils Monthly Membership Plans Starting at $7.99

Chuck E. Cheese, the popular family entertainment chain, has introduced a new nationwide subscription program. The initiative, which follows a successful trial that garnered 350,000 members, offers tiered monthly memberships starting at $7.99.

The program, designed to provide affordable entertainment options for families amid rising costs, allows subscribers to enjoy a set number of games daily and receive discounts on food and drinks.

Mark Kupferman, Executive Vice President of Chuck E. Cheese, said, “We wanted to create a program that makes Chuck E. Cheese more affordable for families.”

The subscription comes in three tiers:

  • $7.99/month: 40 games per visit, 20% discount on food and drinks
  • $11.99/month: 100 games per visit, 30% discount on food and drinks
  • $29.99/month: 250 games per visit, 50% discount on food and drinks

The catch is subscribers must commit to a 12-month period before cancellation is possible. Alternatively, the company offers a two-month option at higher monthly rates, catering to shorter breaks like summer vacations.

The program is available at 470 participating locations across the United States and Canada, and the passes can be used by families with multiple children.

This move aligns with a growing trend of subscription offerings in the food industry, with companies like Sweetgreen, Taco Bell, and P.F. Chang’s implementing similar programs. This initiative also comes as Chuck E. Cheese recovers from its 2020 bankruptcy filing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
