Intrepid Metals Hits 0.56% Copper Over 198 Metres
Intrepid Metals (TSXV: INTR) is reporting again long intervals of copper mineralization within its initial drill program at the Corral Copper property in Arizona. The results come from a planned 5,000 metre drill program.
Assay results for a total of five holes were released this morning, which targeted the Ringo Zone along the southern margin of a 3.0 kilometre long trend of near surface carbonate replacement and supergene enrichment oxide copper-gold-silver-zinc mineralization. Highlights from the results include:
- CC24_013: 0.54 g/t copper, 0.27 g/t gold (0.68% copper equivalent) over 99.45 metres from 60.0. metres depth
- Including 1.08% copper and 0.53 g/t gold (1.28% copper equivalent) over 44.40 metres
- CC24-014: 0.42% copper, 0.46 g/t gold (0.64% copper equivalent) over 133.20 metres from 45.85 metres depth
- Including 4.71% copper, 15.84 g/t gold (13.52% copper equivalent) over 2.35 metres
- CC24-016: 0.56% copper, 0.12 g/t gold (0.68% copper equivalent) over 198.0 metres from 10.00 metres depth
- Including 1.28% copper, 0.08 g/t gold (1.26% copper equivalent) over 72.20 metres

“The drilling at Ringo is illustrating the Project’s gold endowment with broad intercepts of highly continuous, locally high-grade gold mineralization, including 21.3 gpt Au over 1.1m in hole CC24_15 and 15.84 gpt Au over 4.71m in hole CC24_14, which we expect will make a significant contribution to the economic potential of the project,” commented CEO Ken Brophy.
Drilling under the current program to date has seen 20 holes completed for a combined 3,900 metres of drilling.
Intrepid Metals last traded at $0.71 on the TSX Venture.
