IsoEnergy Completes 17 Hole Drill Program At Larocque East

IsoEnergy Ltd (TSX: ISO) is expecting to expand the footprint of its Hurricane deposit following the completion of a 17 hole drill program at the Larocque East Project in the eastern portion of the Athabasca Basin.

The drill program, which saw 6,396 metres of drilling conducted, is said to have hit strongly elevated radioactivity at the eastern extensions of the Hurricane deposit. Elevated radioactivity was also encountered at Area D, which is found 2.8 kilometres to the east.

Early data from the drill program includes:

  • LE25-194: 3,100 cps over 0.5 metres (Max 30,829 cps downhole)
  • LE25-202: 6,200 cps over 0.5 metres (Max 28,782 cps downhole)
  • LE25-207: 8,800 cps over 0.5 metres (Max 30,096 cps downhole)
  • LE25-210: 3,700 cps over 0.5 metres (Max 20,280 cps downhole)

Assays remain pending for the program, with early data provided via a handheld RS-125 device. At the Main Trend, LE25-194 was a 180 metre step out to the east, while at the South Trend, LE25-207 was a 240 metre step out to the east and LE25-210 was drilled 480 metres to the east. LE25-202 meanwhile was conducted at Area D. All holes subsequently saw a downhole probe utilized

A summer drill program aims to build upon these results, while also targeting Areas E and F for testing, which are found 6 and 9 kilometres to the east of Hurricane, respectively. Details of the program are expected to be provided at a later date.

“The intersection of significantly elevated radioactivity, and associated alteration, along two of the targeted Hurricane trends east of the resource footprint and at Target Area D 2.8 km along trend from the Deposit highlight the potential for discoveries both along extensions to structures that control high grade mineralization at Hurricane and in additional target zones along the Larocque Trend,” commented Dr Dan Brisbin, VP of Exploration for IsoEnergy.

IsoEnergy last traded at $7.30 on the TSX.
