New Found Gold Hits 261.3 G/T Gold Over 7.2 Metres At Keats

New Found Gold (TSXV: NFG) continues to post strong results from its drill program at its flagship Queensway Project in Newfoundland. The company this morning posted further results from the Keats zone, where infill drilling returned highlight results of 261.3 g/t gold over 7.2 metres.

Assay results released this morning come from a total of seven holes conducted at the Keats zone. The highlight result above, from hole NFGC-21-137, was by far the strongest result released this morning, with the next best result being 19.28 g/t gold over 3.50 metres from hole NFGC-21-103.

Mineralization remains open in all directions at the Keats zone, with drilling continuing to focus on both step out and infill drilling. Thus far, what is referred to as a thickened, south plunging dilational zone infilled with veining and high grade gold has been identified at the zone by the company.

Furthermore, the company also announced this morning that it is stepping up its program at Queensway, increasing the number of drills on site from eight to ten, with the additional drills all to be turning by mid-May. The additional drills are being brought on as a means of enabling the company to reach multiple targets along the Appleton Fault and JBP Fault. 35,756 metres of drilling has thus far been completed over 160 holes.

New Found Gold last traded at $5.22 on the TSX Venture.
