OpenAI Hires Slack CEO Denise Dresser as First Chief Revenue Officer

OpenAI on Tuesday announced that it has hired Denise Dresser, currently the CEO of Slack, as its first Chief Revenue Officer, signaling a push to deepen the company’s business- and enterprise-oriented operations.

In her new role, Dresser is expected to spearhead OpenAI’s global revenue initiatives — managing enterprise sales, customer strategy, and overall revenue growth.

The move arrives at a moment when OpenAI appears to be scaling aggressively beyond consumer-facing products such as ChatGPT. Appointing a dedicated revenue chief may reflect pressure to generate stable, sustainable income and to better monetize large corporate clients.
