Trillium Gold Granted Drill Permit For Rivard Property, Plans Drilling At Gold Centre, Leo

Trillium Gold Mines (TSXV: TGM) had a brief update for the market this morning, announcing that the firm has received the required drill permits to begin exploring the Rivard property in the Red Lake gold camp. The Rivard property is contiguous to the firms flagship Newman Todd project.

A second drill rig has already been mobilized to site for the approved drill program, with preparations said to be underway to begin drilling the property as part of the ongoing program at Newman Todd. Drilling here will focus on a structural corridor that contains high grade gold veins to determine their impact on the Newman Todd structure.

Drilling of the Rivard property is expected to commence early in the new year.

Separately, the company also announced this morning that it has submitted drill applications for the Gold Centre and Leo Property. Gold Centre is located adjacent and along strike to Evolution Mining’s Red Lake Mine Complex, with Evolution drilling just a short distance from Trillium’s property border. Ultra-deep surface drilling is planned for the property as a result of the nearby Evolution work. The Leo property meanwhile is 40 kilometres south of Red Lake, where an overburden and bedrock drill program is planned to take place in 2021.

“Receiving the drill permit for Rivard is an exciting moment for Trillium Gold and our shareholders and is the beginning of several drill permits to come. The Rivard Property, which covers part of the southwest extension of Newman Todd, has high grade visible gold at surface throughout property and has yet to be drilled in any meaningful way.”
