Bell Acquires Stratejm and CloudKettle to Bolster Cloud Services

Bell (TSX: BCE) has announced the acquisition of two prominent technical services companies, Stratejm and CloudKettle Inc, in a strategic move to bolster its cloud services portfolio. While the financial terms of these agreements were not disclosed, the impact of these acquisitions is expected to be substantial.

Stratejm, a cybersecurity firm based in Mississauga, Ontario, brings advanced Security-as-a-Service solutions, real-time threat detection, and incident management capabilities to Bell’s offerings. Known for its innovative and customer-centric approach, Stratejm serves both Canadian and international clients.

“Joining forces with Bell marks a significant milestone for Stratejm. This acquisition not only amplifies our capabilities but also allows us to leverage Bell’s extensive resources and reach,” stated John Menezes, President and CEO of Stratejm.

CloudKettle, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, operates within Canada and the U.S., specializing in Salesforce enterprise implementation and integration. As a Salesforce consulting partner, CloudKettle offers deep expertise in data and AI capabilities through Salesforce Data Cloud, Industry Clouds, Marketing Cloud, Einstein 1, and Tableau.

Greg Poirier, President of CloudKettle, expressed enthusiasm about the merger, saying, “We are proud of the strength of our team’s talent and expertise and the value we have brought to our customers. We are looking forward to continuing to deliver quality Salesforce and Revenue Operations services with even greater impact with Bell’s scale and reach behind us.”

These acquisitions complement Bell’s 2023 acquisition of FX Innovation, a provider of multi-cloud services and IT workflow automation solutions. FX Innovation supports the integration of applications within business environments in Canada and internationally, enhancing Bell’s capabilities in managing public and hybrid cloud environments.

Guillaume Bazinet, Co-Founder and CEO of FX Innovation, commented, “The FX Innovation team is excited to welcome Stratejm and CloudKettle Inc. to the Bell group of companies. Combined with the FX Innovation team’s expertise in cloud services, we will create robust, synergized offerings for Canadian enterprises.”

John Watson, Group President of Business Markets, Customer Experience & AI at Bell, emphasized the strategic importance of these acquisitions: “Supporting enterprises with their digital transformation and cloud strategy is our core priority at Bell Business Markets. Bell has become the trusted leader in delivering workflow automation and IT cybersecurity, supported by best-in-class acquisitions of entrepreneurs like Stratejm and CloudKettle.”

Both organizations will become part of BCE’s group of companies, reporting to Bazinet.

Bell last traded at $43.31 on the TSX.
