‘BitBoy’ Arrested Again After Sending Emails to Judge
Self-described “crypto icon” Ben Armstrong, known as “BitBoy,” has been arrested and is being held without bail after sending multiple emails to a judge overseeing a defamation lawsuit against him, according to correctional records.
The Volusia County Division of Corrections has classified Armstrong as a fugitive from justice. This marks his second arrest since September 2023.
Armstrong himself revealed the situation on X last Friday, claiming an arrest warrant had been issued after he contacted Cobb County Superior Court Judge Kimberly Childs. In those posts, he referred to Judge Childs as “corrupt,” a “future convicted felon,” and “dishonorable,” while claiming she was “holding my children hostage.”
The specific content of the emails remains undisclosed, but they were sent while Armstrong was representing himself in legal proceedings. He also claimed the judge deleted her social media account after receiving his messages.
Judge Childs is presiding over a defamation lawsuit filed against Armstrong by Hit Network and its parent company BJ Investment Holdings in September 2023, which accuses him of libel and slander.
Armstrong’s previous arrest occurred in September 2023 after he livestreamed himself driving to the home of an individual who possessed a Lamborghini that had been confiscated from him. He was charged with “loitering/prowling” and “simple assault by placing another in fear,” before being released on a $2,600 bond after eight hours in custody.

Before that, he was named in a March 2023 class-action lawsuit alongside NBA star Jimmy Butler and fellow crypto influencer Graham Stephan, accusing him of promoting unregistered securities through Binance. That lawsuit seeks over $1 billion in damages.
Armstrong built a significant following through his YouTube channel, BitBoy Crypto, where he shared cryptocurrency news and investment advice. However, BJ Investment Holdings removed him from the BitBoy brand in August 2023, citing allegations of substance abuse and behavior that caused “emotional, physical, and financial damage.”
