Copper Road Resources Strengthens Board With Two Appointments
Copper Road Resources (TSXV: CRD), formerly Stone Gold, this morning announced changes to its board of directors as it continues to explore its property in the Batchewana Bay region of Ontario.
Two directors have been added to the firms board, Michael Waring and Matthew Rees. With their appointments, Gerald Riverin and Morgan Quinn have tendered their replacements to make room on the board.
Waring currently holds a BA degree in Physical Geography from McGill University as well as an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. In 2000 he formed Galileo Global Investment Advisors, which manages both institutional and retail mutual funds.
Rees meanwhile is the current Chief Geologist of Iamgold, a role he has served in since 2018. Prior to joining the company in 2012, he worked with numerous junior explorers, as well as conducted a 19-year stint at Noranda-Falconbridge. He currently holds a masters in Geology from the University of Saskatchewan.
“I am honored to be asked to join the board of Copper Road Resources and will strive to help the team in their ongoing exploration efforts to delineate additional copper mineralization beneath the project’s extensive land holdings on the Mamainse Peninsula. The search for the potential parental intrusive source, or sources, of the widespread copper mineralization across the property is underway this fall, and we are looking forward to seeing the results of our target validation program involving both new surface geochemical surveys, and the assessment and modelling of newly identified geophysical targets in the historical data. This will lead to the planned drill testing of the initially validated targets in early 2023,” commented Rees on his appointment.
Copper Road Resources last traded at $0.135 on the TSX Venture.
