Great Panther Sees Chairman Resign

Great Panther Mining Limited (TSX: GPR) announced on Tuesday the resignation of David Garofalo from the chairmanship and as a member of the company’s board of directors. The move, effective immediately, is meant for Garofalo to “focus on other business commitments.”

Garofalo became chair of the board in April 2020. Currently, he’s serving as chair and CEO of Marshall Precious Metals Fund and Gold Royalty Corp.

“On behalf of the board, I would like to thank David for his leadership and service to the company,” stated Rob Henderson, President & CEO of Great Panther.

Independent board director Alan Hair is set to replace Garofalo. Hair is a former president and CEO of Hudbay Minerals (like Garofalo) and is a director of Bear Creek Mining Corporation and Gold Royalty Corp.

Great Panther Mining last traded at $0.32 on the TSX.
