Magna Mining Hits 6.0% Nickel Over 2.2 Metres

Magna Mining (TSXV: NICU) appears to be running thin on show-stopping nickel intersects at its Crean Hill project, where it is conducting an ongoing drill program. The latest round of results were come from drilling conducted at the 101 Footwall Zone, and the 105 Footwall Zone.

Highlights from the results include:

  • MCR-23-020: 4.3% nickel, 0.4 % copper, 1.7 g/t platinum, palladium and gold over 0.4 metres in the 101 FW Zone
    • and 11.2% nickel, 0.4 % copper, 0.1 g/t platinum, palladium and gold over 0.4 metres in the 101 FW Zone
  • MCR-23-021: 3.17% nickel, 0.51% copper, 1.41 g/t platinum, palladium and gold over 0.4 metres in the 101 FW Zone
  • MCR-23-024: 6.0% nickel, 2.2% copper, 5.8 g/t platinum, palladium and gold over 2.2 metres in the 105 FW Zone
    • and 5.1% nickel, 1.3 % copper, 0.03 g/t platinum, palladium and gold over 0.8 metres in the 101 FW Zone.

“Both the 101 FW and the 105 FW Zones have the potential to produce high grade nickel ore using selective mining methods. Although some of the assay intervals released today are narrow, this style of massive sulphide veins can pinch and swell over relatively short distances, and it is encouraging to see these zones extending beyond the current Mineral Resource models,” commented Dave King, SVP Technical Services.

Drilling at the 101 FW and 105 FW Zones are said to have extended both of zones beyond current models. The 105 FW zone in particular trends into the footwall from the main zone, which historically is the main source of contact for nickel-copper mineralization at Crean Hill.

The 101 FW Zone has previously intersected over 31 metres of 4.0% nickel, 0.7% copper, 0.36 g/t platinum and 0.25 g/t palladium.

Magna Mining last traded at $0.65 on the TSX Venture.
