In what could be a monumental stride in the gaming community, Swarmio Media (CSE: SWRM)Â announces the launch of its subscription-based gamer network solution, Lagless.
Latency in gaming, often referred to as ‘lag’, is a common problem for users who like their games streaming without interruptions. Using Swarmio’s Latency-optimized Edge Computing infrastructure and further intelligent network routing algorithms, Lagless is devised to reduce lag by up to 80%.
“Lagless is one of the many solutions Swarmio plans to introduce to the 100+ million captive telco users to enhance their gaming experience,” said CEO Vijai Karthigesu.
The program is expected to be bundled within Swarmio’s newly-launched gaming platform Ember, in which it will be available for free for new and existing premium members for the first three months. Following that, the Lagless solution will be available Ember-registered accounts at US$5.18 per month, a 25% discount from its retail price.
The service would also be available through Swarmio’s telco partners in the Philippines through Globe Telecom, in Tunisia through Ooredoo, and in Sri Lanka through SLTmobitel. The firm said that all revenues generated by subscriptions to Lagless will be shared between Swarmio and its telco partners.
“Lagless expands Swarmio Store’s offerings providing gamers with seamless access to a one-stop shop for in-game items, merchandise and accessories,” Karthigesu added. “With Lagless, we’re expanding our portfolio of incredible gaming experiences in rapid-growth gaming regions.”
Swarmio Media last traded at $0.09 on the CSE.
