Hot Chili Hits 0.5% Copper, 0.3 g/t Gold Over 308 Metres At La Verde
Hot Chili Limited (TSXV: HCH) has released the first set of drill results from its La Verde project in Chile. The results come from a 6,000 metre drill program that is currently ongoing.
Highlights from the results include:
- DKP001: 0.4% copper, and 0.1 g/t gold over 174 metres, from a depth of 36 metres
- DKP002: 0.5% copper, and 0.3 g/t gold over 308 metres from a depth of 46 metres
- Including 0.6% copper, and 0.3 g/t gold over 202 metres
The results are said to reflect a “significant copper-gold discovery” at La Verde, which is found 30 kilometres to the south of the company’s Costa Fuego project. The company was initially undertaking a 4,000 metre drill program at the project, which saw historical production from an open pit mine, before the early results led to the expansion of the program.
Drill results have confirmed that an extension of the porphyry system exists 400 metres to the north east of the open pit, with higher grade mineralization found below a gravel cover sequence. The step-out is significant, given the open pit mine contains a footprint of just 200 metres by 400 metres. Mineralization is currently open in all directions.

Assays are currently pending for a further ten drill holes, with preliminary data suggesting a footprint of 850 metres by 700 metres. Drilling under the current program is expected to be completed in late January 2025.
Hot Chili last traded at $0.67 on the TSX Venture.
