The contract in question is valued at roughly C$40.0 million, with the contract said to be related to artificial intelligence. The company has safely made it to the final round of the RFP, or request for proposal, process for the bidding of the contract.

It still remains unclear what industry the contract pertains to, or whether its a public or private entity that has put out the request for proposals. The company stresses as well that the bid remains subject to all criteria being met on both technical merit and the ability of the firm to delivery on the deadlines described.

“We are proud to be selected for the final round for this AI business and are excited by the possibilities this creates for our employees, customers, partners and shareholders. We are cautiously optimistic. We believe the growing momentum with AI will remain through 2022 as the overall economy improves and more organizations return to investing in technology,” commented Marshall Gunter, CEO, on the development.

Datametrex AI last traded at $0.17 on the TSX Venture.
