Hercules Metals Hits 0.47% Copper Over 338 Metres
Hercules Metals (TSXV: BIG) has released further drill results from its flagship Hercules property in Idaho. The results are said to have demonstrated the strongest primary mineralization below the enrichment blanket encountered to date.
Highlights from the results include:
- HER-24-12: 0.47% copper, 1.55 g/t silver, 71 ppm molybdenum over 338 metres from a depth of 306.48 metres
- Including 0.51% copper, 1.12 g/t silver, 104 ppm molybdenum over 153.6 metres from a depth of 490.73 metres
- HER-24-11: 0.31% copper, 0.47 g/t silver, 32 ppm molybdenum over 280.7 metres from a depth of 236.22 metres
- HER-24-13: 0.70% copper, 1.21 g/t silver, 22 ppm molybdenum over 69.85 metres from a depth of 159.65 metres
- Including 1.14% copper, 1.64 g/t silver, 30 ppm molybdenum over 37.89 metres from a depth of 159.65 metres
HER-24-12 is said to represent the first time that Hercules has encountered increasing grade at depth on the property, with the hole ending in strong mineralization and alteration increasing from phyllic to outer potassic. Copper and potassic alteration are said to be increasing towards the Grade Creek Zone, where an untested chargeability and magnetic anomaly exists, making it one of the “most compelling” targets for an early porphyry center.
“Seeing primary copper grades now increasing below the secondary enrichment blanket is certainly an exciting new development for the project. The increasing grade as well as alteration temperatures to the north has significant implications for the large geophysical anomalies underlying the Grade Creek Zone. Review of core photos also shows early “A” and “B” veins intensifying down hole, both of which are known to increase toward the center of porphyry systems,” commented Chris Paul, CEO of Hercules Metals.
Hercules Metals last traded at $0.52 on the TSX Venture.
