Nio Reports Delivery Of 6,711 Vehicles In May

NIO Inc. (NYSE: NIO), today released its May 2021 delivery results. The company delivered 6,711 vehicles in May 2021, representing 95.3% growth from last year. Notably, deliveries were down from the 7,102 delivered in April, and the 7,257 vehicles delivered in March.

The deliveries consisted of 1,412 ES8s, the company’s six seat and seven seat smart electric SUV, 3,017 ES6s, the company’s high-performance 5 seat smart electric SUV, and 2,282 EC6s, the company’s five-seater smart electric coupe SUV.

NIO also indicated a cumulative 109,514 vehicle deliveries as of May 31.

NIO’s vehicle delivery was adversely affected for several days this May, due to the volatility of semiconductor supply and particular logistical adjustments. The company expects it will be able to increase deliveries in June to compensate for the delays from May, based on the current delivery and production plan. The company states it still expects to meet the estimated delivery guidance of 21,000 to 22,000 vehicles in Q2 of 2021.

NIO last traded on the NYSE at $38.62.
