Leaf Mobile Changes Name To East Side Games

LEAF Mobile (TSX: LEAF) announced on Monday that it will proceed with adopting the name East Side Games Group as its trade name. The latter is one of the company’s wholly-owned subsidiaries, following a $159 million acquisition closed in February 2021.

“East Side Games has built an awareness across the mobile game industry over the past 10 years as one of the leaders in the casual games space since the founding of the studio in 2011,” explained the firm’s CEO Darcy Taylor. “We see this change as an opportunity to build on this heritage and as a simplification of our brand to maximise shareholder value.”

Connected to this name change, the game developer will also start trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the new symbol “EAGR” by December 8, 2021.

The company also intends to seek its shareholders’ approval on changing its legal name to East Side Games Group Inc.

Leaf Mobile last traded at $2.64 on the TSX.
